I read that too, but she said on a television interview last week (Fox, of course!) that she was planning on traveling home soon. The report said she left indefinitely, but I’ll be curious to see what she says during the week. Can you imagine how painful that flight was for her?

Your opinion is completely understood, Dayo. I am NOT trying to argue your opinion with you, rather express that there are two sides that cannot be proven at this time. My opinion is that if one of your children went missing you may in fact, exhaust EVERY single opportunity and perhaps possibility in order to find them. Then again, maybe you would sit back and have complete faith that every possibility is being handled by the authorities. I will be the first to agree with anyone that too many cases are never solved and that happens for many reasons. There seems to be this misconception that Equusearch is somehow searching for Natalee for some other reason than to find Natalee. I do not know any better than you know what was and wasn’t searced when the Van der Sloot’s property was searched. Neither of us know enough to say whether or not proper searches were done when they were eventually done.
I also have a little bit of insight into how investigations like this can be screwed up in the States by one investigator, a department, or the FBI, which leads me to believe that a country without experience could do the same. It is possible, anywhere. In addition, each investigation’s dynamics change depending on how willing and able the family is to put some pressure on the authorities to do something. Because there are so many missing it is easy for a case to get pushed under the rug, but in some instances the family will make sure their loved one isn’t pushed under the rug. On the other hand, proving a loved ones innocence when being tied to a crime is often handled the same way. Some will push to prove their innocence because they have the means and drive to do so. While others don’t because they don’t have those tools or because they know they are associated. These people could seem relentless, but how does someone who has NOT been there truly understand where that motivation comes from?
Dayo, I am completely aware of where you stand on the issue but at the same time there is another side. Being open to both is realistic knowing what we know (and don’t know).

I dont know , I am kinda wishy washy on the whole ordeal because, All the tips are leading to nothing. I dont want to believe that she is dead , but she has been missing too long. I certainly believe that if she is dead the Dad is involved. I just hate that the authority’s did’nt act sooner. But if she is not dead I do believe there is a possibility she is in another country, and if that is the case she may wish she was dead. You know she is(was) only eight-teen and I am only 25 but I remember when I was 18 I thought I knew alot, But you dont you learn more and more each day. My big question is have they talked to her friends was she not sleeping in a room with maybe a few of her friends or did they all have seperate rooms ? If I am not mistaken. After a certain amount of time they will consider foulplay. And her parents will have to declare her as being dead. Now it is possible that her parents may never want to do that and continue to hold on to her being alive for many years. Which is what I would do , but after a certain amount of time I believe they can go on assumption that she is not with us any more and get life insurance money.

I think she’s probably alive. I think if she were dead, we would’ve seen at least some small shred of evidence to suggest it by now, it’s been 60 + days already. I think Joran is guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt. He likes to gamble, maybe he gave her away to someone to settle a debt or something. If she is alive, I hope that she isn’t suffering and that God will bring her home soon. I pray for her and her family everyday and I send them nothing but my best wishes. I also think that Paul Van Der Sloot and The Kalpoe Brothers were involved somehow. It’s sick isn’t it? No innocent person should ever have to suffer that.

Cannibal Corpse kicks ass! Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, Dope, Meshuggah, Nevermore, Type O Negative, Skinlab, Emperor, and Fear Factory are all awesome too.
