Bob Costas Refuses to Host CNN Show About Natalee Holloway
NEW YORK The story of a missing Alabama teenager in Aruba had C-N-N searching for a plan-’C’ last night.
Bob Costas — the occasional fill-in on the network’s “Larry King Live” — refused to anchor last night’s show because it was primarily about the search for Natalee Holloway.Costas has released a statement saying that he suggested alternatives for the show, but that “producers preferred the topics they had chosen.” His manager would not say what Costas didn’t like about the topic.
The show’s senior executive producer says that Costas was uncomfortable with the subject matter, and that the decision was mutual because of that.
Chris Pixley had to fill in at the last minute on a show where seven of the ten guests talked about the missing girl.
Geraldo Discusses What Joran Could Be Charged With (VIDEO)
As the Natalee Holloway investigation continues with no updates or possible leads, all we can do is talk about Joran van der Sloot. JvdS will be going to court in early September for a hearing that will decide if he goes home or if he will stay in jail for a brief period of time. Tonight on The O’Reilly Factor, Geraldo Rivera talked about the possible things Joran could be charged with. Rivera mentioned that like the US, Aruba also has something called “double jeopardy”. This means if van der Sloot is charged and found not guilty, they can not charge him again.
